Dean Edwards packer (Trojan)

The Dean Edwards packer is a JavaScript compression tool used for web development but also exploited by cybercriminals to hide malicious code. It transforms code into an obfuscated format.

APT-C-23 (APT)

APT-C-23 group uses Windows and Android components in operations. Android components were first described in 2017, and multiple analyses of their mobile malware were published in the same year.

ClickFix (Phishing)

In April 2024, researchers found compromised sites leading to an iframe on pley[.]es showing an error message. The payload domain was taken offline, preventing infection. Later, the iframe was replaced with the ClearFake inject.

Fake Browser (Trojan)

Attackers infect enterprise networks with malware by promoting fake browser updates on hacked websites, leading to the installation of banking trojans and later ransomware encryption on compromised networks.

Fake Service (Phishing)

Phishing involves scammers posing as familiar companies to obtain personal information. Consumers should avoid responding to suspicious emails requesting personal or financial details to prevent falling victim to these scams.

Kimsuky (APT)

Kimsuky, a North Korean threat group since 2013, targets think tanks and nuclear-related entities. Recently expanded to US, Russia, Europe; known for Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. compromise.

LandUpdate808 (Trojan)

Fake update variants like SocGholish, Clear Fake, Smart Ape, and ClickFix are being tracked by a collaboration introducing the LandUpdate808 Fake Update Variant.

Lumma (Data Theft)

Lumma is a C-based information stealer sold on Russian underground forums and Telegram by LummaC since August 2022. It targets cryptocurrency wallets and has file grabber capabilities.

NetSupport RAT (RAT)

Remote Access Trojans allow covert surveillance and unauthorized access to victim PCs, collecting keystrokes, passwords, screenshots, and more. They differ from keyloggers by providing remote access capabilities to attackers.

Parallax (RAT)

Parallax is a RAT used by attackers in "coronamalware" campaigns to access victim's machines. Attackers exploited COVID-19 news to trick victims into opening themed emails spreading Parallax.

SocGholish (Social Engineering)

Malwarebytes found a new social engineering toolkit that uses compromised websites to perform advanced fingerprinting checks and deliver the NetSupport RAT payload.

Stealc (Data Theft)

Stealc, introduced by actor Plymouth on underground forums, written in C, can steal data from web browsers, crypto wallets, email clients, and messaging apps, built on Vidar, Raccoon, Mars, and RedLine.

TeamPCP (Trojan)

TeamPCP has attacked LiteLLM, an open-source Python library and proxy server, commonly used in cloud environments. This could have a significant impact due to its widespread presence.
