Stamus at Botconf 2022

Botconf is an annual technical conference organized by the International botnets fighting alliance / Alliance internationale de lutte contre les botnets (AILB-IBFA). This year, the conference will be held in Nantes, France and will be welcoming cybersecurity experts from around the world. I’m excited to announce that Stamus Networks will be sponsoring this year’s event from 26 April - 29 April.

And I’ll be giving a talk on the effective use of IOC-related threat intelligence and Suricata on Friday, 29 April 2022. You can see the full Botconf 2022 agenda here: https://www.botconf.eu/botconf-2021/botconf-2021-2022-schedule/

For Stamus Networks, Suricata is fundamental to our company’s history and is a foundational element of our products. So, we spend a lot of time helping defenders improve their skills with this powerful open-source tool.

At Botconf, we share details on the Suricata feature called “datasets” and we explore how it can be used to do real time checking of various IOCs. In my presentation “Multi dimensional IOC Creation and Matching with Suricata”, I will introduce the feature and its advanced matching capabilities that help network security experts build “sightings” databases to alert on newly observed communication artifacts in the defended network.

We hope you choose to attend and we have a chance to meet. I’ll be there all week with my colleague, Cedric Le Roux. And, don’t forget to stay for our presentation “Multi dimensional IOC Creation and Matching with Suricata”.

Register now for BotConf 2022 (register >>) and meet Cedric Le Roux and me this week.
